I am a Londoner born and bred. My childhood was eclectic, spending long periods of time doodling alone and then finding myself at private views in my prettiest frock surrounded by articulate grown ups from the art and design world. I’ve been told my first cot was a cardboard box under the till of my parents fashion shop in Baker Street. When I came of age as such I earned a place on the Foundation course at Central St Martins and quickly specialised in fashion design. I then won a place on the BA course Fashion Design with Marketing at the same college with the unforgettable statement from the course director of ‘I’m going to take a chance on you’.

I loved it, I loved the people, I loved the building, and I especially loved the sketchbooks. In my last year I did a stint of freelance print designing which sold through Karolina York in Sydney as well as having a couple of illustrations bought by the University. Soon after this I realised it was the drawing, the colour and the people I loved the most. So since then I have specialised in illustration. During the 4 years at CSM I also worked under the print designer at Alexander McQueen, as well as doing stints with Paul Smith and Platon the portrait photographer in NYC. I’ve also had some opportunities to work with some fantastic people including Prof. Louise Wilson and through some great companies such as The Cross in Holland Park and the communications and developments department of the University of the Arts London.

I currently work at Bulletproof as a Senior Creative Strategist and Trend Forecaster.

My style is eclectic but always gives a nod to the traditional draughtsmen of yesteryear. I am inspired by new things everyday. Often I find myself drifting back to Victorian illustrators such as Gibson, E.H. Shepherd and painters such as Singer Sargent and Toulouse-Lautrec who took great pains to portray their subjects with life and movement.
